PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ON THE BACK!!!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
·
HAPPY
NEW YEAR!!! Thanks to all of you for your dedication,
especially during the VERY BUSY Christmas season.
·
Christmas
items are marked down through January.
First Communion merchandise begins to arrive around mid-February.
·
SCHEDULE,
PHONE LISTS available via E-MAIL! Would you rather have your
schedule e-mailed to you? If so, please
e-mail a brief message to me at sjgiftshop@hotmail.com
·
The new
door handle is automatically self-locking – you no longer have to lock the shop
when leaving. However, the latch
sometimes sticks in the open position.
Just PLEASE check as you close the door to make sure that the latch has
engaged. Bars have been also installed
in the windows on either side of the door to the shop. These measures were necessary due to the fact
that there have been break-ins and money has been stolen.
·
PLEASE
WAIT FOR AMBASSADOR DAN TO OPEN THE GIFT SHOP!!!
For security reasons, only a very limited number of people have a key to
the Gift Shop. For those same reasons,
the rule is that the door to the shop is not to be unlocked without a volunteer
being present who is ready to work. It
is the responsibility of Ambassador Dan, or his assistant, to unlock the Gift
Shop. Many times, he also has to open
the tabernacle gates at the close of Mass and it takes him a few extra minutes
to get to us. Please be patient and
wait for him by the Gift Shop door!
·
The
Gift Shop MUST be opened as scheduled! If, for any reason, you will not
be able to fulfill your shift on a particular weekend, it is YOUR
RESPONSIBILITY to find a
replacement. Call your shift partner to
inform him/her of any changes. COMMUNICATION
IS ESSENTIAL! If, after calling other volunteers, you cannot find a replacement, then
1. Call your shift
partner to make sure that he/she knows you will
not
be there and that he or she WILL be there.
2. Call me only if
you cannot find a replacement and you can’t reach
your
shift partner. Many times I have been
surprised to learn that
the
shop was closed because volunteers did not show up and failed
to
call.
3. If you can’t make
your shift because of a last minute
emergency
or illness, and you can’t reach your partner or me,
CALL THE
RECTORY – the number is 268-5422.
