St. Joseph’s Council of Catholic Women Meets 2nd Tuesday of the Month September through April 7:00 p.m. – Cody Enrichment Center
About CCW
The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is an integral, important, and vital part of the St. Joseph’s Church community. The council is representative of women active in spiritual, charitable, and social parish work. St. Joseph’s CCW is part of the power and force that gives action to the St. Augustine Diocesan Council and National Council of Catholic Women.
The Diocesan and National Council are actually a means of representing and uniting women who are active in parish work. Both councils help women work more efficiently while applying the principles of Catholic teaching to existing problems.
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise noted) from September through April. Please refer to the weekly church bulletin for programs, dates, and times. In addition to monthly meetings, special interest groups, or circles within CCW are available to expand their area of interest, fellowship and service to the community.
Circles (contact information below)
St. Anne’s Circle is a support group for mothers of infants thru pre-schoolers. St. Anne’s provides opportunities for PLAY GROUPS, GROUP OUTINGS, KIDS' HOLIDAY PARTIES, and MOMS' NIGHT OUT. We also perform a variety of community services, such as visiting nursing homes, donating to charities, and preparing meals for families who have just had a baby or are dealing with serious illness or injury. Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Cody Center.
St. Elizabeth’s Circle is the cooking circle. Members are divided into monthly teams at the beginning of the year. Each team prepares a themed dinner meeting for the membership once a year. Our meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7 pm, September through May, at a team leader's home. St. Elizabeth’s members coordinate the serving line for the chicken dinner at the Fall Bazaar and are called on to provide food for various church and diocesan functions throughout the year. We support the Mandarin Food Bank with monthly food donations collected at each meeting, and help to provide needy campers with tuition for Camps I am Special, Promise and Care each summer.
St. Margaret’s Circle is the craft circle. We provide an opportunity for ladies to join together in Christian fellowship and share their talents in arts and crafts, exchange ideas, instruct and learn from others in various creative fields. Our primary goal is to provide arts and crafts for the Fall Bazaar . We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of the month @ 9:30 in the Cody Enrichment Center from January through September.
