The liturgical season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and concludes with the Triduum.  Lent offers Catholics an opportunity to pray, fast, reconcile and prepare for the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

During this season, Catholics are encouraged to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
